Our Guardian Home Program

Here at DN Poodles and Doodles we believe that every dog deserves to have a loving, forever home. All of our dogs are part of our family, live in our home, travel with us, and spend their days lounging around with all the love they could dream of. We do not have an external kennel facility and our pups have a beautiful room inside our home dedicated to them. Because we want this for all of our dogs we have decided to offer a Guardian Home Program. A Guardian Home is a permanent home for one of our breeding males or females.

Becoming a Guardian Home gives you the opportunity to house and then own one of our pick-of-the-litter puppies or puppies that we have sought out and thought was a good fit for our program at no purchase cost to you. They will be your family pet while he or she remains in our program for 4 litters or up to the age of 4 for females & up to the age of 5 for males. DN Poodles and Doodles will retain ALL breeding rights and legal ownership until our contract is met. Once the pup in a guardian home is retired, he/she will be neutered/spayed at our expense.

Guardian homes for our girls will be compensated $100/puppy up to $600 per litter once her puppies go home. You are welcome to schedule visits while she is with us and play with the puppies! Guardian homes for our boys will be compensated $50 per stud job. You also have a built-in pet sitter for when you travel and can't take your pup with you. We love to have our guardian home dogs visit us regularly to keep them familiar with us and our home!

As a Guardian Home you will be required to pay for the everyday expenses of owning a dog including annual exams, vaccines, food, heart worm/flea tick meds, grooming, etc. We will pay for all breeding related costs including health testing.

Becoming a Guardian Home is not for everyone. You MUST be willing and able to follow these requirements:

Examples may include, but are not  limited to: keeping the guardian dog longer than expected, additional vet care, etc. All decisions WILL ALWAYS BE for the betterment of the Dog.

#9 Be willing to teach basic commands such as sit, stay, lay-down, no, and leave it.
